. For the first exhibition in 2011, Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art presents >, a solo show of a young artist Cristina Núñez who expresses the passion of Latin contemporary art. Latin arts influence other contemporary arts in many ways and express their own identity with its vivid and splendid colors and mystical expressions. In this exhibition, we present paintings worked by Cristina Núñez and her pieces illustrate Korean cultural emotions from her perspective. In the paintings, Cristina Núñez reflects her life. The elements of the paintings are come from her daily life through her vision and re-defined and expressed freely by her visual languages. Especially, lines and dots she uses to draw eyes and triangle compositions in people's faces are the most famous skills. Also exotic colors of Latin art and powerful brush works in her still-life paintings show a magical moment of sole pleasure in imagination and also express contrast. Those features are what the audiences like about her painting. This exhibition insists of three sections of paintings created by Cristina Núñez. The works will show oriental beauty and flower series produced during her residency stay in Korea. We expect her unique poetic expression leads Korean audience to the new Latin contemporary arts.
