A collection of works that inhabit the books for children and youth to benefit the

Book Bank Book Bank opens on Thursday November 11 at 7:00

pm an exhibition of original artwork by Latin American authors who devote their plastic work to create visual worlds for children and young readers.

The exhibition includes 40 works from 20 artists who donated their work on behalf of Banco del Libro. Participate in it: Vanessa Balleza, Arnal Ballester, Cynthia Bustillos, Rosana Faria, Adriana Genel, David Marquez, Ana Palmero, María Elena Repiso, Carmen Salvador, Cristina Müller, Gerald Espinoza, Alvaro Borras, Oswaldo Rosales, Coralia Lopez, Imapla, Javier Saez Castan, Irene Savino, Maria Isabel More, Pablo Madriz Bitter and Tita. This exhibition seeks to publicize and celebrate the art work of different artists speaking countries Hispanic and the general public closer to the artwork as a unique art form that usually stay on the books. In this sense, children's literature, is established as a forum for visual culture and traditions, as the role of illustration holds this kind of book an outstanding role. To raise funds for activities and programs to promote reading and literature for children and young people conducted by the Banco del Libro, the works will be offered for sale to the public.

Sobre los objetivos de las clases.

Estimular, despertar la sensibilidad y aptitudes intelectuales, artísticas y creativas de niños, jóvenes, adolescentes y adultos a través del aprendizaje de la técnica del dibujo, ilustración y/o pintura de una manera disciplinada, fácil, entretenida y divertida, tomando en cuenta las necesidades e intereses de each person.

Achieving these studies, can be a tool to supplement the regular studies, provide a basis for further studies or occupations or professions university-based alternative artistic skills.

Duration: Each goal can be achieved with four or five classes with the teacher and the responsibility to do homework. The length of courses depends heavily on the dedication of the students.
